What is your refund policy?

We want you to be absolutely satisfied with your decision to join the APEX family!

Before you subscribe, you can try a free demo of our courses.

After you subscribe, you might take a look around and decide it’s not for you. If this describes you, then contact us within 72 hours of your initial purchase, and we’ll give you a full refund. Send your request to info@apexanesthesia.com.

Because of the nature of digital courses, we do not offer refunds (full or partial) beyond 72 hours of your initial purchase.

  • If you’re a CRNA, you must request your refund BEFORE earning credits (you earn credits by taking a post-test).
  • If you’re a student that failed the NCE, then check out the “Student Guarantee” for our refund policy.

How do CRNA group discounts work?

Interested in a group discount? Read on to learn more about group discounts for CRNAs. Everyone can mix and match subscriptions, so everyone can get what they want.

How it Works: CRNAs

  • 5 – 19 CRNAs = 1% per CRNA (Example: 15 CRNAs = 15% discount)
  • 20 – 125 CRNAs = 20% discount
  • 126 – 250 CRNAs = 25% discount
  • 251 or more CRNAs = 30% discount

Here are your next steps:

  • Email us at info@apexanesthesia.com to get started.
  • We’ll ask you to fill out our Subscriber Roster (an Excel template), so we know who’s in your group.
  • After we receive your group roster, then we’ll work together to determine your 1-week purchasing window.
  • We’ll give you a group code to use during check-out. This tells us who belongs in a particular group. If you don’t enter the group code at checkout, then you won’t receive your discount.
  • Choose your subscription at www.apexanesthesia.com/crnarna. Again, be sure to enter your group code during checkout.
  • When you initially sign up, you’ll pay full price. After the 1-week window closes, we’ll calculate the discount, and we’ll refund each person in the amount of the discount.

Make sure to tell your group NOT to purchase until we open the 1-week purchasing window. This will ensure everyone is included in the group.

What are the software and hardware requirements to use APEX?

You can access APEX from your computer, tablet, and smartphone. That’s right, all of our courses are 100% mobile-friendly 😊

You can start on one device and pick up where you left off on another device.

Since APEX lives on a server, all you need is an internet connection and a compatible browser.

We support these browsers:

  • Chrome
  • Safari
  • Firefox
  • Edge
  • *Microsoft abandoned support of Internet Explorer, so we are no longer able to support this browser.

We support Apple, Android, and Windows devices.

*APEX cannot be used on e-readers or Kindle Fire. Additionally, we don’t fully support Android LG devices.

Do you have an app I can download to my phone?

Although we don’t have an app to download, we have the next best thing.

You can get 1-click access to your course directly from your phone. The only difference between this and an app is that you’ll still need an internet connection.

Will APEX report my credits to the AANA for me?

If you’re an AANA member, then we’ll report your credits as you earn them on the 1st and 16th of each month. If you need your credits reported sooner, then let us know, and we’ll be happy to help.

If you’re not an AANA member, you can print your certificates from the “Certificates” page.

  • Login at:  www.apexanesthesia.com
  • Click “Certificates” on the left side menu.
  • Scroll down to click your course.
  • Click the green certificate icons to print your certificates.

*If your subscription has expired, you won’t be able to access your certificates. Contact us, and we’ll temporarily re-activate your account so that you can print your certificates.

What type of credits does APEX offer (Class A or Class B)?

We get it – Class A and Class B credits can be confusing.

  • For recertification, you’ll need 60 Class A credits and 40 Class B credits.
  • If you earn more than 60 Class A credits, then any Class A credit above 60 can be applied to your Class B requirement.
  • Some CRNAs find it easier to do more Class A credits instead of going through the cumbersome process of figuring out what counts as Class B credit.

What’s the bottom line? Every credit you earn with APEX is designated as Class A.

Does my CE course come with a workbook or printed material?

While we’ve made it incredibly easy for you to access our course material from your electronic device, we certainly understand the value of printed material.

Back To Basics:

  • You have access to the same workbook as the student review course.
  • While it’s useful in helping you master the entire course, not all CRNAs have the time to complete it. We strongly recommend that you look through the digital file before you print it – it’s a lot of writing!

Clinical Updates:

  • You can print each journal article from the sites where they’re hosted, and you can print our expert analysis from our website.

CPC Core Modules:

  • You can print the supplemental handouts that follow the narration for the video lectures in the course.

Can I complete the same CE course more than once?

Yes! To complete a CE course more than once, it must be completed under a new Course ID. We renew our courses with the AANA every 2 years (the AANA gives us a new Course ID each time we renew), so please check with us to determine if you’re eligible to re-enroll in a course.

If you already have the course in your account, you will not be able to complete your purchase through the website (the course will not add to your cart).

Can I renew or extend my CRNA course subscription?

We understand that sometimes life gets in the way. If you need extra time to earn your credits, contact us, and we’ll gladly extend your subscription for 30 days.

If you’d like to subscribe to a course that you used previously (to earn credits again), then contact us so we can re-enroll you into a course.

What is the difference between Back to Basics for CRNAs and the Student Review course?

The course content for Back to Basics and the Student Review course is nearly identical, however, Back to Basics allows CRNAs to earn 65 Class A credits and 11.5 credits in pharmacology/therapeutics.

Do you have a pass prediction for the NCE?

The promise of predicting the future is a gimmick. Here’s why:

The NCE is a computer adaptive exam. It’s impossible to accurately predict the questions or concepts that a student will encounter on a given attempt. Not only will the exam be different for everyone, but it will also be different each time a student retakes it. Furthermore, the NCE evolves over time as new content is added and old content is removed.

The bottom line is that there are no shortcuts! We’ll help you master ALL of the concepts necessary to pass the National Certification Exam.

Student Guarantee. Do you guarantee that I will pass the NCE?

Although thousands of students across the country trust APEX to help them pass boards, you may be thinking, “What if I don’t pass?”

Student Guarantee:

  • We’ll give you additional insight and a study plan that will help you deal with issues that may be holding you back. Check out “I Failed the NCE” in this help index.
  • You’ll get continued course access until you pass the NCE. If you’re subscription expires, we’ll extend your access at no cost until you pass.
  • If you don’t pass the NCE on your second attempt, send us your scores and we’ll schedule a 1-on-1 strategy call with you.
  • If you don’t pass the NCE on your fourth attempt, you’ll have an option for a full refund. If you select this option, this will terminate your continued guidance and your extended APEX account access (beyond your initial paid subscription).

Remember, a review course is only beneficial to those who actually use it. To be eligible for our student guarantee, you will need to put in the time and complete the course.

When we write things, we’re more likely to remember them later. For this reason, you have access to our workbooks that’ll give you over 800 pages of activities, diagrams, and content you can fill out as you complete the course.

This is a true workbook – it is not a textbook or a printed version of the course. We do not offer a textbook or a printed version of the course at this time.

Can I renew or extend my student course subscription?

We offer 1-, 2-, and 3-year subscriptions to our Student Review course.

We strongly suggest that you purchase a subscription that will cover you for a few months beyond graduation so that you’ll have uninterrupted access to APEX when you need it most.

Subscription renewals beyond the initial subscription period will be charged at full price. In other words, if you purchase a 1-year subscription, and later decide you wish to have another year of access, then you’d need to repurchase another year at the end of your initial subscription. Because you’d be a returning customer, we’ll give you a 20% discount code to help offset the cost.

What is the origin of the name APEX?

When we started APEX in 2014, our focus was helping nurse anesthesia students pass the NCE (we’ve grown quite a bit since then).

To best help students prepare for boards, our thinking (based on a ton of research) was that a question-based approach to learning is the most efficient way to prepare for any standardized test, so we sought a name that embodied our philosophy.

Why is my coupon code not working?

There are several possible explanations.

Coupon Code Is Expired:

If the coupon code is expired, email us at info@apexanesthesia.com, and we’ll discuss your options.

Your Email Address Is Not Connected To The Coupon Code:

If you receive a message during checkout that says “this code is not yours,” then the email you used to register your account is not associated with the coupon code. If you are part of this group, then make sure you’re using the email that was given to us on the group roster. If this does not work, please email us at info@apexanesthesia.com.

If you’re part of a group, do NOT process your payment without using the group discount code, because you won’t receive your discount.
