Envision is recruiting an Anesthesiology Program Director to start a new Anesthesia Residency Program at AdventHealth Tampa. AdventHealth Tampa will be applying for accreditation of an Anesthesia Residency program beginning July 2027. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated leader to be involved in the cultivation of a fully supported, advanced, 3-year Anesthesiology program in Tampa Bay. Associate Program Directors will also be considered with 3-5 years of experience. Highlights of Practice:Case mix: general, regional, cardiac, obstetrics, neuro, endo, cath lab, ortho, spine, vascular, rad, ENT, urology, pedsAnesthesia care team is comprised of 21 MDs and 40 APPs covering 31 operative sites a dayTraining program is expected to have 6 Anesthesia Residents (PGY 2-4/ CA 1-3) per yearApproximately a 60/40 split role between clinical/teaching and administrative duties once the program is established; initially, an 80/20 split during the application processQualified Candidates:Must have experience as a Program Director, Assistant PD, or Core Faculty member in an ACGME–accredited Anesthesiology programMust be ABA Board CertifiedHave previous leadership/administrative experienceResponsibilities include:Authority and accountability for the operation of the Anesthesiology Residency ProgramShepherding the application processDeveloping curriculum, policies, and procedures for the programMaintaining ACGME accreditation and state approvalsRecruiting residents into the programDeveloping and executing competency evaluations of their performanceMiscellaneous responsibilities to ensure the success of the programParticipation with clinical daily and call duties Envision offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package including PTO, CME allowance, medical, dental, vision, short/long-term disability, parental leave, life insurance, 401(K) with employer contribution and 100% paid malpractice with tail coverage.
