VCU Health is an Academic Medical Center providing Level 1 Trauma services to the greater Richmond Metropolitan area. VCU CRNAs provide anesthesia for a diverse case mix across 30 Main Operating rooms; 6 Ambulatory Surgery ORs; Labor & Delivery; Interventional Radiology; Electrophysiology Lab; and Endoscopy. VCU CRNAs practice in the Pediatric, Cardiac, Vascular, Neuro, Trauma, and Obstetrics specialties and have the option of doing Liver Transplants. Our CRNAs have the opportunity to precept and mentor Nurse Anesthesia students enrolled in VCU School of Nurse Anesthesia and Mary Baldwin University.
Our department functions in a collegial anesthesia care team model. All Anesthesiology team members are employees of the Health System. Positions available for Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. or 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., with a day or two off per week; Alternative Schedule Options are Also Available.. We work condensed shifts and value on-time relief for all of our team members.
